One of my favorite verses (and songs!). We all ask for blessings and breakthroughs but many times we resist the journey. We either do not trust God's ways, do not feel the journey He sends us on towards our blessings is necessary or just do not feel the need to wait but God tells us that His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8). Yes the numbers, logic or odds might seem against you in your eyes but remember, even His foolishness is wiser than our wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:25) and also trust him Him because while we seek to be blessed physically, He wants to bless us both physically and spiritually (Jeremiah 29:11).
So next time you start jumping through hoops to try and give you the edge, remember that you already have the edge over the world - the God who overcame the world (John 16:33) so be still and know that He truly is GOD, sovereign and in control of everything!.
